Chinkie-Yen is a small kennels dedicated to breeding dogs of quality, type and temperament . We took over the kennel name in 2002. it was a first for us and a new beginning for Chinkie-Yen. We started out with one hairless (Basil Brush) that I have to admit my husband James thought was the ugliest dog he had ever seen. How ever with in a very short time Basil's character and out right cheekiness won him over. James still thinks Basil is ugly but he wouldn't part with him for anything. And from that day the Cresteds just kept on coming. My relatives think I have lost the plot... maybe I have but I'm having fun anyway. We show our dogs when we feel like it... our dogs are family pets first and show dogs second... some people say our dogs live better than we do.. Crested or Chihuahua they are happy, fun-loving, playful, loyal and affectionate. They make good watch dogs and are great with children.
